The Rock grapple or five-fingered rock grapple is an
extremely versatile attachment that allows the
holding or clamping of objects into its two arms.
The rock grapple adds to the versatility of the
excavator, as it provides picking and placement of
rocks, for marinas, landscaping, quarries and other
applications that require extensive lift and carry
or lift and load operations.
The rock grapple can be fitted to all excavators
whether or not they have a quickhitch fitted with
the same mounting brackets fitted.
There are no hydraulics or modifications required to
the existing excavator stick, and are available in
kit form for on-site assembly
Performance Statement
High performance excavator rock grapple from
eiengineering
will improve your productivity and
performance through:
Improved geometry for more efficient loading and
unloading of material
Heavy duty robust construction for increased
strength and durability
Specially designed for superior performance
Can be used for picking and placing rocks
Are designed to comply with OH&S requirements
No need to run extra hydraulics as the grapple uses
the existing bucket cylinder
What to look for in a Rock Grapple
Superior design for more efficient load management
Designed for your particular application
Wear protection on grapple finger edges
High strength steel used in construction
eiengineering Rock Grapple Design
Our engineers calculate the proportions for the
materials being loaded with the lifting capacity of
the machine.
The finger protection ensures that the load has a
minimum possibility of slippage
Can be fitted to machines with or without
quickhitches.

Rock grapples are made from
Bisalloy, which is 3.1 times stronger than mild
steel. This ensures more strength and less weight
which means greater capacities, less fuel
consumption and less load on the excavator.
Rock Grapples are fitted with extra wear tips on
each of the fingers of the grapple for highly
abrasive applications
The Benefits
The benefits you will experience are:
Earn more money moving more material and different
material types
Reduce fuel costs – normally hard to load objects
require less time loading, carrying and unloading.
Increased safety as there is no need to balance
large loads on bucket edges
Save time – easier loading means less time behind
the controls, saving fuel and employee costs
Reduced servicing costs because the excavator is not
working as hard
Bisalloy construction means longer working life of
the attachment and less downtime carrying out
expensive repairs or modifications
What you get as standard
All of our Rock Grapples are delivered with dipper
arm bracket.
