Performance Statement
Quickhitches have revolutionised the application of
hydraulic excavators making them by far the most
versatile piece of plant available to the
earthmover. Fitting a hydraulic quickhitch to your
excavator means the right tool can be used for the
job because the time to change most implements is
less than one minute.
High performance excavator quickhitches from
eiengineering
will improve your productivity and
performance through:
Improved geometry for provide a more compact
quickhitch to reduce pin-to-point and increase
bucket breakout
Heavy duty robust construction for increased
strength and durability
Heavy duty cylinders with high quality seals to
ensure no leaks
Are designed to comply with OH&S requirements
The challenges facing our engineering team when
designing our superior hydraulic quickhitch, were to
design a quickhitch that was safe, robust and
compact without losing any of its flexibility or
performance.
Any extension of the dipper arm affects the
excavators lifting capacity as well as ground
penetration (breakout force), which in turn effects
the capacity of the bucket. It is of utmost
importance that the quickhitch is the most compact
design available. If the quickhitch is compact in
design and the bucket has been designed with the
double radius back plate design which offers less
pin to point, the installation of a quickhitch will
less impact the performance of the excavator. The
following table shows the impact of compact vs.
non-compact quickhitches on bucket lifting
capacities.

User safety is paramount in the design and
construction of the Quick hitch. The heart of the
safety features is the hydraulic cylinder
Safety features: Mechanical safety pins are
incorporated as part of the hitch body assembly.
Hydraulic circuit: The cylinder assembly is welded
closed and the hydraulic check valve is incorporated
into the cylinder body. This means that if there is
a drop in hydraulic pressure for any reason, the
check valve will lock the pressure between the
opening valve and closing valve within the cylinder
so that the hitch can not disengage.
Our breakthrough design offers a 100% Bisalloy
quickhitch that will withstand any tough working
environments, that is compact so that the excavator
performs at its maximum.
What to look for in a hydraulic quickhitch
Heavy Duty construction for added strength and
durability
The quickhitch is self adjusting, reducing wear on
the pick up points of the hitch.
Superior compact design
Quickhitch loading capacity is matched to your
application
High strength steel used in construction
Hydraulic cylinder check valve has been installed
Cylinder seals are of a high quality
eiengineering Hydraulic Quickhitch Design
The design of the eiengineering quickhitch is for a
compact, robust and safe hitch you can rely on to
perform reliably and increase the flexibility of
your excavator. All eiengineering quickhitches and
other attachments are built to exceed the machine
specification and comply with OH&S regulations.
Our engineers calculate the proportions for the
materials being excavated, the lifting capacity of
the machine and the size of the bucket when
manufacturing a hydraulic quickhitch.
The compact design ensures maximum bucket breakout
force
Heavy Duty cylinder fitted with high quality seals
to avoid leakage, and compact check valve for
safety.
All eiengineering quickhitches are made from
Bisalloy, which is 3.1 times stronger than mild
steel. This ensures more strength and less weight
which means greater capacities, less fuel
consumption and less working load on the excavator
The Benefits
The benefits you will experience are:
Earn more money moving more material - greater
payload per bucket load because of more compact
quickhitch design
Reduce fuel costs – because the bucket loads easier
with less drag, fuel costs will be reduced
Save time – more bucket capacity means less time
behind the controls, saving fuel and employee costs
Reduced servicing costs because the excavator is not
working as hard
Bisalloy construction, heavy duty cylinder and high
quality seals means longer working life of the
bucket and less downtime carrying out expensive
repairs or modifications
What you get as standard
All of our quickhitches are delivered with a
hydraulic cylinder. We do not usually provide pins,
as the pins are normally provided by the excavator
supplier, however we can supply them if requested.
We do not provide any hydraulic pipes or hoses.
